Is it possible to buy a ticket from someone that cannot run the race anymore? Will I run into troubles?

Sorry if this is off topic, I don't see any FAQs around.

On the cycletour home page click on events. The FAQ's should pop up. Its the fourth topic in the list. Also down the left hand side click on the "substitutions" link. All you need to know is there. I did a substitution about 10 years ago and it worked fine; you even get properly seeded!

Substitution entries open on 14 January 2009. Look at the FAQ page as suggested by Gerhard. If that doesn't answer all your questions, please contact the Cycle Tour Events Office on 021 685 6551.

There are rumours around that Chapmans Peak will be closed for the race. Does anyone have an update on this? www.chapmanspeakdrive.co.za states that Chappies is still closed.

Hi, we are a couple from Southern France coming out to ride the Cycle Tour. We are very much into biking and my girlfriend manages a high class cycling tour operating company here in provence (home of the famous mt. Ventoux - one of Tour de France's race's most gruelling climbs). We are looking to rent a racing tandem for the cycle tour on the 8th March. Has anyone got some clues as to who we can contact? Hi There
I just received my provisional Argus Cycle Tour seeding, as did my brother. Our PPA seedings are quite different as he is far better than me, and we are both only in the "L" to "O" PPA seeding range. We have both been provisionally been seeded in the "VA" group leaving at 06H29. I find this almost impossible to believe, as that is when the better cyclists are starting. Please check the seedings of everybody, as I believe that a possibility exists that the seedings sent out all reflect the "VA group leaving at 06H29"

Unfortunately there was a problem with the provisional seeding but it will be resolved shortly. You will receive an e-mail during the course of today.

in spite of weather conditions,the tour was once again well organised.
i know that i am digressing slightly,but pedal power should look into getting a transport service provider to get a whole group of cyclists to fun rides in the country areas.
that way we reduce our carbon footprint etc.
could also be a great way of making new friends.
